Computational Biophilia: A Bioremediation System Design

Our project has been selected for presentation at the 2025 Hong Kong–Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture (UABB).

The project explores a temporary, bioactive structure designed to nurture bacteria that assist in the recovery of soil in abandoned farmlands. Fabricated from biodegradable materials via 3D-printing technology, the structure is intended to operate within natural environments—performing its remediation function and eventually decomposing without leaving any environmental trace.
