🔹 Program Overview
📍 In Hong Kong, climate action and social inclusion are often seen as separate issues but are, in fact, closely connected under SDG frameworks.
📍 This is shown in our curriculum, where subjects like biology, geography, and design tech are often taught separately.
📍 To build a climate‑resilient future, we need to connect these subjects in real life.
📍 Our Design Scientist Program 2026 invites citizens to co-create climate solutions that unite ecological innovation with social equity.
🔹 Learning Outcomes
1️⃣ AI+ Design Thinking: Apply biomimicry and artificial intelligence (AI) to create your own team design portfolio for university application.
2️⃣ Digital Fabrication: Use 3D printing technology to transform your designs into tangible 3D prototypes and showcase them at university.
3️⃣ Scientific Practice (elective): Experiment with research-driven design, with the option to collaborate on scientific papers with practising researchers using real environmental data.
📍 Teaching Team:
Registered architects, environmental scientists, and doctoral researchers will co-teach this interdisciplinary program, broadening students’ future pathways.
